My eight-year-old has already bookmarked half the book — the Apple Pie Waffles were a Sunday morning hit, and she did most of it herself. The photos make each step so clear that I barely had to help.

The recipes are genuinely simple enough for my 9-year-old to follow, and the photos make her want to try everything. That said, I wish there were more savory options—it’s mostly sweets, which is fine, but we’ve only made about five things so far.
