6" Quadruple Chocolate Cake

I was a little worried the "not for the faint of heart" warning meant it'd be too rich, but the sponge is balanced perfectly against the chocolate layers. Cut into thin slices and it's dangerously easy to finish half the box in one sitting.

The cake sponge is just fudgy enough that it doesn't crumble everywhere, which I appreciate since I was eating it straight from the fridge. Got through half the box in one sitting without feeling sick, and the chocolate flavor is deep without being cloying.

I devoured two slices before dinner and had zero regrets; the sponge is dense enough to feel like real chocolate but still has that perfect crumbly moistness. Even after two days in the fridge, it stayed fudgy and rich without drying out, which never happens with most cakes I've tried.
