The sponge really nails that "just-fudgy enough" texture—dense without being heavy, and the chocolate flavor is deep without going bitter. I cut a thin slice and it was still plenty, so a little goes a long way.
The frosting-to-cake ratio is dangerously good, and it’s rich enough that one slice actually killed my sweet tooth for the day. Took a star off only because the cake itself was a touch drier on the second day, but the first bite was pure chocolate bliss.
